TWU members who deliver cash and valuables around the ACT and Southern NSW have commenced a week-long strike after having their pay reduced by $118 per week by the company.
They worked throughout the pandemic performing this essential service while Linfox Armaguard collected over $23 million in taxpayer subsidies, only to thank their workers by recently reducing their pay by 7%.
Cash deliveries to companies like Coles, Commonwealth Bank, NAB and many ATMs around the area may be affected by the strike.
“The members are rightly furious that they have been let down by a company that some of them have worked for 30 years” said TWU Canberra Sub Branch Secretary, Klaus Pinkas.
‘’The fact that workers have gone down this path shows how appalled they are at Linfox’s behavior”.
