TWU and Unions in Wollongong taking the message to ALDI

We are working with others in the retail supply chain to ensure safety for our members, but Aldi refuses to be involved in the discussions.

With the Support of the local trade unions and the South Coast Labour Council we went to Aldi in Wollongong and asked the company again to “step up to the plate”.

Members and the local community are asking ALDI to come and talk to ensure their supply chain is safe.

When a deal is too good to be true, it’s too good to be true.

As we rallied in Wollongong we noted that 45 truck drivers have died this year. Aldi has gone to the Federal Court to silence workers rather than come and speak to the TWU.

The TWU is fighting for a safer and fairer industry for all transport workers.
