TWU Enews

Check out this week’s TWU NSW Enews: 2024 Delegates Conference, Delegate of the Year, Transport Reform In Action. Plus social media highlights.

Delegates Conference: We are relentless.

Last week, more than 500 of you showed up in an incredible display of union strength and solidarity for our 2024 TWU NSW Delegates Conference.

Together, we stood shoulder to shoulder, took the fight to Aldi, and amplified the voices of workers everywhere.

We heard from inspiring speakers, shared stories of resilience, and truly embodied what it means to be RELENTLESS in our pursuit of fairness and justice for all.

Your dedication and commitment continue to drive our union forward. We can’t wait to see what we accomplish together next.

Transport Reform Takes Effect

Transport reform laws have kicked in, meaning gig workers have achieved the landmark right to make applications to the Fair Work Commission for the first time ever.

This week, gig workers did just that. This groundbreaking step means gig workers will soon have access to:

✅ Minimum wage

✅ Cost recovery

✅ Personal injury compensation

This is just the beginning — expect more applications in the coming months that will cover all areas of the transport industry.
